Name Giving
For this project, we were invited to create the name for a new urban lifestyle hotel in Limassol. The hotel is located close to the city’s central library and was designed to include a library space within its reception and restaurant areas a place where guests can relax, read and connect. Taking inspiration from this concept and its location, we suggested the name “Libro”, which means book in Latin. The name reflects both the idea of knowledge and stories and the calm, contemporary atmosphere the hotel aims to offer. Our process involved careful research into language, culture and tone to ensure the name felt natural and aligned with the brand’s vision. This project highlights how our studio also supports clients with naming and brand concept development, combining creativity with thoughtful research to create meaningful and relevant results.
Story
The Libro logo is inspired by the intricate patterns of Mexican Otomi embroidery, the natural symbolism of wheat seeds, and the distinctive shape of Limassol district, while also reflecting the city’s unique architecture. This combination creates a design that celebrates cultural artistry, local heritage, and the vibrant character of Limassol in a modern, cohesive form.
